Over 9300 Georgia owned companies export, earning the state $20.6 billion in 2005

BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT

Georgia provides a wide variety of statutory incentives, to help eligible businesses realize their goals. Sales and Use tax exemptions are available for a wide range of companies. Many Georgia counties exempt up to 100 percent of manufacturer’s inventory under the local option Freeport law.

Georgia is the first state to adopt a single factor sales tax rate that substantially reduces the corporate income tax for Georgia companies who deliver a larger portion of their products/services outside of Georgia.

As an active and interested business partner, Georgia will work with your company to provide the most attractive incentive packages, commensurate with project needs and determine resource availability:

  • Lower taxes
  • Lower cost of living
  • Affordable home prices
  • Efficient energy rates
  • Available office space
  • Strategic location
  • Transportation infrastructure
  • Agreeable climate
  • Logistics network

Georgia’s outstanding livability coupled with a variety of attractive incentives makes doing business here a pleasure and gives companies a distinct advantage.
